XHTML 1.1 is not HTML, isn't blessed to be served as text/html by RFC
2854 (Internet Explorer (which represents a large portion of most
author's markets) doesn't support application/xhtml+xml), and is, in
many ways, less strict then HTML 4.01 (which is what I would suggest
sticking with for the time being).
