Dear WAI Interest Group Participants,

Two videos were recently posted online that you might be interested in: a
presentation and an interview.

The first video is from a series of presentations that Shawn Henry of W3C
WAI gave in London, including a free evening session organized by RNIB[1],
a presentation at the @media conference[2], and a presentation for the
Yahoo! Developer Network, UI(User Interface) Theater[3]. The presentations
provided:
- How the WCAG 2.0 Working Draft differs from WCAG 1.0
- Shortcuts for using WCAG 2.0
- Answers to common questions on W3C WAI's work
- The role of browsers and authoring tools in Web accessibility
- Combining standards and usability techniques to optimize accessibility

The first video, which includes audio and slides, is of the presentation at
Yahoo:

A text transcript is available at:

(Note that a draft version of that video was posted previously. The final
version is cleaned up and has the Quick Reference demo screens filled in.)

The second video is an interview. As part of the Mitsue-Links "Meet the
Professionals" video series, Shawn Henry talked with Kazuhito Kidachi about:
- Shared responsibilities between web site developers, browsers, and
assistive technologies
- The importance of authoring tools supporting accessibility
- Different types of authoring tools, including content management systems
- How WCAG 2.0 and WAI-ARIA address the more difficult aspects of Web
accessibility
- WAI's outreach resources
- What led Shawn to accessibility

The video has English audio (after a short Japanese introduction) and
Japanese subtitles. Text transcripts are available in Japanese and English.
