DISCUSSION

We completed the discussion of the QA test framework [1]. Checkpoint 4.3,
about automating testing, led to a lot of questions about what we're
testing, and whether it's automatable. There is more to hash out around this
but a conclusion seems to be that since we need to test the guidelines, not
implemenations of the guidelines, it may not be automatable, though other
parts of the testing framework such as results collection and analyis will
be. Most of the other checkpoints we looked at we simply agreed we need to
do. Having reviewed this document, we need to prepare feedback to the QA
Working Group, and also figure out how we are going to implement it for
ourselves - those are probably part of the same process.
