Hi,

I have read in various documents that XML Signature
can be used to sign all kinds of documents.

Lets assume that the DTD of the source object does not
have support for XML Signature (the appropriate
elements) in its present form. What I was unclear
about was, does one have to extend the DTD of the
source object (which needs to be signed), with the
appropriate elements to be able to include XML
Signature in the source file. If so, how does one go
about getting the DTD accepted by the outside world?

Thanks for the help.

Regards,
-Ravi
