Re: more current content? especially for training resources

Hi Teresa,

Thank you for sharing information about accessibility.

Most of the WAI website has been updated in the last year or two. However, you are correct that we do not have recent handout material. We are currently updating our training material, and expect to publish it later this year.

Here is some current information on WCAG 2.1 that I hope you find useful:
* What’s New in WCAG 2.1 https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag/new-in-21/
* WCAG 2.1 at a Glance https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag/glance/
* Resources for designing and developing for accessibility https://www.w3.org/WAI/design-develop/
* How to Meet WCAG 2 (Quick Reference) https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/quickref/
Those pages link to more relevant material - some updated as recently as last Friday. :)

(This is a good intro page -- we plan to publish the 2.1 updates within the next week or so: Accessibility Principles https://www.w3.org/WAI/fundamentals/accessibility-principles/ )

Would you be interested in a short phone call so I can learn more about what you looked for on the W3/WAI website, and what additional information you would find useful?

Best,
~Shawn

>> Hello—
>> I am trying to get current content related to WCAG—preferably v2.1. Although marked © 2019, the W3/WAI website doesn’t seem to have much info that is more recent than 2013, which is quite old in this context. The WAI handouts/flyer page (https://www.w3.org/WAI/flyer/#glance) is from 2009.
>> Is there a resource that has more up-to-date content? I want to learn more about accessibility myself, but I also want to share information with a national proposal team on this issue. Because the website doesn’t really have downloadable content, finding handouts with key points that actually describe how to achieve accessibility in creating content would be extremely helpful. If you could direct me to current information—especially related to content authoring under 2.1—I’d greatly appreciate it.
>> Thank you,
>> Teresa
