Hi Jeffrey, don't despair :) On Microsoft machines and on MAC the page is
looking great, probably is something related to your particular browser on
Debian. While writing HTML for you clients you probably learned that it's
really difficult to have a perfect result on all browsers and all operating
systems - you try your best and then wait for bug reports :D 

I am sure a more constructive attitude will get more bugs fixed than acid
critics :)

I have at times thought of trying to make some money at writing html for
people. I get reading/researching for a while, form some ideas and beliefs,
then BAM!!

I bump into something like this. How can anyone take any "expert"
seriously is beyond me at times,
