Re: AW: Content negotiation flamewar (was: Re: "Hash URIs" and content negotiation)

Earlier this year the Semantic Web Best Practices and Deployment WG
(now closed down, see [1]) published "Best Practice Recipes for
Publishing RDF Vocabularies" [2] as a W3C Working Draft:

[2] http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-swbp-vocab-pub-20060314/

The intention was to find a very practical way of moving forwards with
this difficult philosophical and architectural issue.

The recently chartered Semantic Web Deployment WG [3] is due to
revisit this document before the end of this year, and to publish a
revised draft of [2]. I'm sure the SWD Working Group would very much
appreciate feedback on [2] and new input and ideas regarding ways of
moving forward - please send comments and suggestions to
<public-swd-wg@w3.org> ... or alternatively, join the WG!

Thanks,

Alistair.
