Decision how to record XML Encryption/Signature 1.1 interop test cases

In order to advance XML Encryption/Signature 1.1 specifications to Recommendation we need to document test cases and record completion of interop.

We have two documents to publish as W3C Notes summarizing interop testing:

XML Signature 1.1 Interop Test Report : http://www.w3.org/2008/xmlsec/Drafts/xmldsig-core1-interop/Overview.src.html

XML Encryption 1.1 Interop Test Report : http://www.w3.org/2008/xmlsec/Drafts/xmlenc-core1-interop/Overview.src.html

We have agreed to publish these as W3C Notes as we progress the corresponding drafts, presumably when we enter CR after another LC. I suggest we record this a formal resolution on tomorrow's call.

We have recorded the interop tests in two ways, on the wiki for XML Signature 1.1 [1] and both in the wiki and also a document for XML Encryption 1.1 [2].

In order to progress our work, the WG needs to decide how to make the test cases available. It seems we the following options:

1. Publish the test cases in the wiki, both for Signature 1.1 and Encryption 1.1. If we make this choice we need to move material from the XML Encryption 1.1 test cases document to the wiki.

2. Publish separate test case documents. If we make this choice we need to create an XML Signature 1.1 Test Cases document, moving material from the wiki.

3. Include the test case material in the Interop Test Report documents - in this case we need to move material from the wiki and the XML Encryption 1.1 test cases document into these interop report documents. This approach would have the benefits of recording the tests and results in one document for each spec.

What are WG members thoughts on these choices? We need to have a uniform approach in order to progress our work. Please comment on the list.

Thanks

regards, Frederick
