Proposal, to add the following to the XML Encryption errata [1]

E04 2011-06-20 (Editorial)

In the example in section 2.2.1, EncryptedData with Symmetric Key (KeyName), ( http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/REC-xmlenc-core-20021210/#sec-Usage ) the EncryptedData element should not be closed at line [s1]. '/>' should be replaced with '>' in the example at that line.

This has already been fixed in the XML Encryption 1.1 draft.

Thomas, can you please take an action to add this to the errata document?

Thanks to Tobias Pfeiffer for pointing this out.

regards, Frederick

Frederick Hirsch
