Browser Support Project

Hi, folks–

As part of our beta push, we want to have all the compatibility tables
automatically generated from data we've collected from various sources.

To help with this project, I've started a new list,
public-webplatform-tests [1], which is separate to keep the chatter down
for those people only interested in browser interoperability data.
Anyone interested can subscribe to that list.

I wrote up some project plans [2], and a new volunteer from the
Amsterdam Doc Sprint, Ronald Mansveld, is helping drive the data model
[3] and data collection. We've had some lively conversation this week!

In parallel with designing the data model and collecting the data, we
need to redesign the prototype extension that inserts the data as tables
or lists into each page. Ryan Lane has put us in touch with a developer
who he thinks can help us with that, and I'll keep you posted on that;
in the meantime, if anyone else has experience with edge-side includes
(ESI) and MediaWiki, we'd love your help.
