RE: ACTION REQUIRED: Send email of support for Verifiable Claims at W3C

I have read the charter in development and we are supportive of the charter.

While the current focus of the New Zealand government is verifiable claims that can be asserted by the citizen using a government agency as the authoritative source utilising the RealMe technology platform, we recognise that the overall online digital environment will be enhanced by involving non-government organisations and private sector organisations that are also authoritative sources of personal data. The scope of the working group will help to expand the verifiable claims ecosystem .

The New Zealand Government is a member of W3C, will review the work of the Working Group, and has a strong preference to incorporate the use of supported international standards.

Regards.

Hi Lionel,

The official "Charter in development" comment period for the W3C Verifiable Claims Working Group[1] is currently open[2] for public and W3C member feedback. It is very important that you show your support by sending an email to:

public-webpayments-comments@w3.org

You just need a paragraph or so in the email. Please mention the following:

* That you have read and are supportive of the charter.
* If you are not a W3C Member, that you desire to join W3C if the
  charter is approved.
* If you won't join W3C, that you will review the work from time to
time and desire the use the technology after the Working Group
  has finalized the standard.
* Include anything else you feel is pertinent.

Please do this as soon as possible (this week, preferably as soon as you see this email), the review period is not open for very long.
