For those that are not aware, please see [1] where there is a link to a new Stream proposal which looks nice (and very usefull), follow the thread if you want to know more. In [2] I am trying to give an example of parallel encryption/hash of a stream, not sure it's correct from a "promise" standpoint, it's a bit different from the example given by Takeshi. Ryan, how would you see this? The point is pending but the proposal is assuming that there is an EOF that closes the operations.
