A few days ago, I fixed some aspects of Attr behavior in WebKit, here's a test I made: <http://trac.webkit.org/export/68258/trunk/LayoutTests/fast/dom/Attr/change-id-via-attr-node-value.html>. Opera pretty much passes it, with the minor exception of Attr.firstChild.splitText() not splitting the text node.
