It turns out there is a use counter for `Document.designMode` already, usage is far above what's normally considered for deprecation or removal in Blink: https://www.chromestatus.com/metrics/feature/timeline/popularity/742 Not sure if `Document.execCommand()` usage would be higher or lower, but if anyone really hopes for its removal I could measure to attenuate those hopes. --- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/clipboard-apis/issues/16#issuecomment-127552214
