Re: [push-api] Technique to Detect Endpoint Prior to register() (#95)

@paul-em, this is one potential workaround, though this isn't ideal.  That adds latency.  It also raises the cost of shipping a browser (running servers for something like this isn't super-expensive, but it's not zero either).
