Do you have any other use cases?  Because so far everyone is agreeing it 
doesn't meet the one use case it's currently be advocated for on the web, 
Boris's useful research showed mozilla had no real author use cases, that 
wouldn't also be met by something that met the above use case.

It's beginning to look like me that it has no uses and should be dropped.
