@nigelmegitt Do note that I was primarily talking about *my use case* - I do the same thing with multiple profiles and single subtitle file(s), but I keep the frame rate consistent across all the variants.

Still, even for your use case with varying frame rates I'd expect the frame counter to be useful since even if you couldn't use the frame numbers themselves, you could still observe the value for the exact moments when frames change and act on that.
