Thanks, John, for helping to clear up the issues surrounding abbreviations 
and acronyms.  I was perhaps a bit hasty in sending the definitions to the 
list since I have proposed combining the success criteria about 
abbreviations (GL 3.1 L3 SC3 [1])  with the success criteria about 
defining words (GL 3.1 L3 SC2 [2]).  Even if we do combine the success 
criteria I believe that we will still need the definitions of abbreviation 
and acronym for the techniques document (which is why I sent the 
definitions proposals to the list). 

I would like to see more discussion about the proposal to combine the two 
success criteria.  Is this something that team B wants to move forward on? 
So far I have only heard from Loretta.  In addition we need to determine 
if all instances of "a word used in a restricted manner" must be marked or 
only the first occurrence.
