Simon,
your timeline reminds me that it would be good (especially for future 
editors) to use a conference management system (openconf or something 
like this) to reduce the amount of clerical work. Since the Call For 
Papers has to provide info on how authors are expected to submit, it 
would be good if we explore this issue now.
