Re: More About GoodRelations Integration

Hi Robert:

The quick answer is: schema.org is an additional, likely popular syntax for exposing e-commerce information in the GoodRelations vocabulary.
GoodRelations will remain an independent project, and for consumers of GoodRelations data, it is best to use the original GR namespace.
The next service release of GoodRelations will include respective mapping axioms.

So it is really best to think of the integration as a new syntax for using GoodRelations, mainly geared towards Web developers who want to annotate HTML content with a focus on search engines.

The next steps will be the GoodRelations Service update that reflects all changes on the GR side.

We will keep GR and schema.org in sync.
Best
Martin

Is there ever a reason to again use the gr: namespace? Will GoodRelations, as such, be retired? If not, will the two vocabularies remain in sync?

For example, is an appropriately referenced class from the Vehicle Sales ontology (say, http://purl.org/vso/ns#Automobile) honored as a valid, spidered and rich-snippeted entity? If so, are there rules and models for intermingling vocabularies?
