Re: Request for Disclosure of W3C TPWG Funding Sources

Alan,

It is a fair question why we don't have a policy that requires 
disclosure.  Historically, we've had Sponsors who wanted to be disclosed 
and others who wanted to remain anonymous.  We've had Sponsors for 
years, and until we got to TPWG noone raised an issue about disclosure.  
So we saw nothing wrong with allowing Sponsors to remain anonymous.

Now that TPWG has twiced questioned the policy, it probably makes sense 
for the W3C Advisory Board to take up the question.

You asked me to answer David's questions.  Some are answered above. Some 
were answered in an email I sent a few minutes ago.  Some were already 
answered in the email that I sent on 23 January.  What remaining 
questions do you have?
