Actually, while it would be counter-productive for the group to pick all the hardest and most controversial specs first, having one that brings genuine problems forward in the first batch makes sense. And as it happens, I suspect that the controversy over whether Gallery ought to be built atop FileSystem, or if using IndexedDB is enough, or if it should ride on Intents, or other alternatives boils down to just taste preferences. I think that there are real architectural issues hiding in there. It would therefore probably make sense for the group to work on this one with its mind set on figuring out not just what the disagreements are but why they are there and what the implications of each approach are. Solving those could prove very useful with the rest of the specs.
