Practices and Deployment Working Group is now closed.

The Semantic Web Best Practices and Deployment Working Group was chartered to
provide hands-on support for developers of Semantic Web applications in
various forms, ranging from engineering guidelines, ontology / vocabulary

Next Steps
----------

The new Semantic Web Deployment Working Group [1] has been chartered to
continue work on practical RDF development and deployment practices in the
areas of publishing vocabularies, OWL usage, and integrating RDF with HTML
documents. The group's first teleconference is 10 October 2006.

The new Semantic Web Education and Outreach Interest Group [2] has been
established to develop strategies and materials to increase awareness and
educate the Web community regarding related Semantic Web solutions and
technologies. This group is planning to hold its first face-to-face meeting
mid November in the Boston area.

The W3C Multimedia Semantics Incubator Group [3] is working on materials to
increase metadata interoperability, add formal semantics to, and provide best
practices for annotation of metadata for multimedia content in the Web. This
group began in June 2006.
