That’s exactly why I said “even if we did have … behaviour that meant …
the following segments are still rendered”, it was a hypothetical.  My
point was that whether the defined behaviour is “ignore segments after
syntax error” or “sync up and render the segments after the syntax
error”, the behaviour is likely not what the author wanted either way.
They want to use the new feature, of course. :)
