Re: [svgwg] consider more involved path shapes (#754)

Working around limitations like this is part of the fun of SVG.  Supporting paths that pass over and under themselves would complicate the rendering libraries enormously.  Especially when there are almost always simpler ways to achieve the same effect.

The idea of piecemeal paths has also been suggested before.  I can't find the discussion right now (my google fy is failing me).  An example use case at the time was for the inter-country borders on maps.
