With best regards, Jun Zhao Computing Officer Image Bioinformatics Research Group Department of Zoology, University of Oxford South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3PS, UK ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *FlyWeb: A Data Web between Repositories and other Data Sources, linking Drosophila Research Image Data with Publications* Dear Colleague, I am seeking a skilled computing officer to be Project Manager and to take the lead in developing software for the JISC-funded FlyWeb Project, to build a demonstrator web data integration service to enable search interoperability between heterogeneous web sources, specifically images and data concerning gene expression in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. The person appointed will join a small active research group applying lightweight Semantic Web technologies to assist in the management of biological research data. Applicants should have a good degree, probably in a mathematical or science discipline, extensive experience of software development, preferably for web applications, and project management experience.
