Mounir: Please read the thread linked from comment 0. It is the explicit
recommendation from TC39 to use numertic timestamps rather than Date objects.
Feel free to jump in to that thread if you disagree though. But as of now I
think the arguments are stronger than your arguments in comment 3.

I don't think the existence of valueAsDate() is enough to keep Date in WebIDL.
The function can always be defined to return 'Object' in the IDL.
