Relationship between Wikidata and Schema.org?

Is there any relationship / overlap in the knowledge graphs used by
Wikidata and Schema.org? It seems like some of the principals in the two
projects overlap. I saw this comment in the recent thread about
categorizing religious concepts:

*"in fact Wikipedia have their own "knowledge graph" called Wikidata.org
that does go into many of these details. We are working out ways of
combining it with Schema.org"*

What are the efforts to combine the two, or brainstorming ideas that are
floating around about it?
