The outcome of a direct mapping is going to the be a mapping, written in a
syntax... which we have not defined yet.

 We need to make more progress on the syntax before we continue with the
direct mapping. I'm still working with Marcelo and bridging what Eric has
written with the formal semantics of datalog.
