Summary: fs:convert-operand does not match XQuery semantics.
Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT
           Version: 2nd Edition Recommendation
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Formal Semantics
        AssignedTo: jmdyck@ibiblio.org
        ReportedBy: oliver@cbcl.co.uk
         QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org

The XQuery specification for argument promotion of general comparisons was
updated by erratum XQ.E18. The definition of fs:convert-operand function
however, which implements this conversion has not been similarly updated.
