Dear Daniela,
On Feb. 18, 2004, the Query Working Group agreed that, in the grammar 
production named CompTextConstructor, the Expr between curly braces should 
not be optional.

Please let us know whether you are satisfied with this resolution of your 
issue.

XQuery:  syntax simplification request

Why is the Expr optional on the production [105] ?

If the expression is not present the entire text constructor
returns the empty sequence, so why support this syntax ?
