Re: OCF for Packaging (was Re: [AudioTF] Agenda 2018-12-14)

Folks,

Incidentally, I am the convenor of SC34/WG4, which maintains OOXML
including OPC.

A revised draft (which is a thorough rewrite) of OPC is now under public
review.

https://github.com/sc34wg4/opcRevision/wiki/Public-review-of-a-working-draft-for-the-revision-of-ISO-IEC-29500-2-(Open-Packaging-Conventions)

Probably, the most interesting feature of OPC is its support of streaming.
Before creating an OPC package from parts (e.g., HTML files), one can
divide parts into pieces. Such pieces can be arranged in an interleaved
manner within a ZIP file. Immediately after enough pieces are received,
the first page can be rendered.

Regards,
Makoto
