Re: PING [call for consensus] - publish fingerprinting guidance as a Working Draft Interest Group Note

At the moment the document is an unofficial draft. 

All we are asking for at this stage is consensus to publish the document as a W3C working draft interest group note (i.e. to make it official).

Although the document is not yet “finished”, it well developed and reflects feedback from PING members and others. Yes, there are some outstanding items, but having the document as “official status” should help us get the feedback we need to finalise it.

I hope that clarifies the situation.
