Dear Marcos,

Thank you for bringing this request to PING.

It would be really helpful for us to have a preliminary conversation with the appropriate person(s) from the SysApps WG about the draft specification (e.g. its purpose, its intended use, its design, any already identified security/privacy issues etc.).

Our next teleconference is this Thursday at UTC 16 (6 pm in Geneva). Would you and/or your colleagues in the SysApp WG be available to walk us through the draft specification on this call?

Kind regards,
Christine and Tara (co-chairs)

I'd also like to note that similar URI schemes are used by Microsoft (Windows 8), Google (in Chrome), and currently by Opera's extension platform (widget://). We are trying to unify these[*] by hopefully addressing some of the privacy issues.
