Re: wrong rendering of certain HTML entities

I think it's not a large amount of Javascript to fix this (i.e., if  
version==IEfailversion, then replace semantic entities with  
presentational entities). I'd rather put the legacy hack into a  
legacy hack place than to bork up the actual markup.
