Hi:

As per the action from last week's teleconference, here is more
information about a possible F2F in the Washington DC area.

Location: Washington, DC, or environs
Time: two days out of April 1,2,3,4, most likely April 3 and 4

Rationale:

There are several OWL WG members in the DC area, including Clark&Parsia,
NIST, and MITRE. Washington, DC, is easy to get to and in an apprpriate
geographical area (i.e., not Europe, where the 1st F2F will be).

The proposal is to have the WG F2F temporally adjacent to the OWLED
workshop in Washington, DC, which Kendall Clark and I are organising.
There is even the possibility of some joint activities. It would be
hard to move the OWLED workshop earlier, as initial publicity has yet to
go out for the workshop.

The timing of OWLED and the F2F is quite tricky as there are a number of
related events. April 1-4 was chosen for the proposal to allow some
time before WWW 2008 but also allow a combination trip to the AAAI SSS.

Other events:
- OMG - 10-14 Mar 2008, Washington, DC
- AAAI SSS - 26-28 Mar 2008, Stanford, California
- WWW 2008 - 21-25 Apr 2008, Beiing, China
- FLAIRS - 15-17 May 2008, Coconut Grove, Florida
- SemTech - 18-22 May 2008, San Jose, California

The exact venues for the F2F and for OWLED have yet to be determined.
The two basic options are some downtown hotel and a hosted event in some
suburban location. It might end up that the two events are in different
venues.
