If ODRL was written as an RDF schema first, I can't help but think the 'Asset' class wouldn't exist at all: it'd simply be the case that ODRL policies can apply to any owl:Thing (would you concur with that, Renato?)

As it wasn't, Asset exists in the ontology as a compatibility shim and little more. I really think the spec text is where the adjustment ought to be made.
