I'm pretty sure it's possible, I just have some gut feeling that makes 
me incomfortable with that... The operating system should have the 
authority to shut down NFC hardware, for power management reasons, 
security, whatever... The web runtime should just signal it to the web apps.

The Linux/Neard platform is probably the most adapted for writing test 
scripts. Having said that, it would be best to multiply the reference 
platforms beyond my quick phonegap/android port I guess.
