Re: My second scoping paper for education Community Group

Regrets for today's call due to a medical appointment.

Thank you for the paper, Crispin. You take the current state several strides ahead of where I think we are currently situated.

I think we need to create an "action plan" from a procedural standpoint—one that defines next steps for that areas that Jeff described in his update—specifically addressing:

What existing W3C activities relate to online learning and how can we get involved in those to ensure meeting requirements for online learning is part of the discussion?
How can we move forward with establishing a strong and effective community group?

And as Judy mentioned on our last call, our proposed action plan should be clear and concise.

Would it work to use the wiki brainstorming page [1] to start pulling together a proposal for how to establish a community group and engage in integration activities?

Best,
Sarah

It is intended to propose a scope and an action plan for a new Community Group, which would develop what I call the eXtended Data Model Declaration Language (XDMDL), which would be piloted in the context of an interoperable digital ecosystem for learning which I call Shareable Tools Activities and Resources for Learning Education and Training (STARLET).
