ps: some very incomplete ramblings of mine about this can be found on

speaking, i think it would be fascinating to look at REST and speech act
theory: how to establish self-contained conversational contexts that set
the frame for interpreting utterances. but i think this might detract us a
little from getting the LDP job done...
