W3C Internationalization Initiative Participation Request

Mr. Swick,

My name is Alex Anderson and I am the Localization Manager at AccuWeather<http://www.accuweather.com>, and have been focused on the global expansion of our markets and business transformation to support localization in our products that are consumed by over 300 million people every day. Internationalization is a critical integration in order for our linguistic footprint to reach users in every market weather is impacted.

This week our web product manager and I were engaged in outlining the requirements for localization and it is becoming overwhelming. We have a large audience base that is global. This has grown so significantly that we are now changing the experiences we currently have in our flagship products have a universal experience across devices for users. This is a digital transformation that provides an opportunity to work on integrating the core foundation for the future experiences with AccuWeather.

I would like to learn more about how we might be able to get sponsorship for integrating across our Web, Android and iOS products a global experience upgrades focused on the user. How would I be able to find out more about the process of application, time frames, and possibly receiving support for integration of this critical stage into our ecosystem with support?

Please advise as to what the process and next steps might be in order to be considered for support of integration of internationalization into our organizational foundation.

Best Regards,

Alex Anderson
