group. About your interest you wrote

That ontology provides mappings of existing formats to a pivot 
vocabulary, e.g. media ont to XMP at
http://www.w3.org/TR/mediaont-10/#xmp-table
One then can use e.g. the API for media resources to retrieve multimedia 
metadata while being independent of the underlying metadata format, see 
e.g. a json output example here

How would you bring ITS2 into this picture? Would one do additional 
statements in the RDF representation bringing in ITS2 properties (in the 
RDF sense)?
