RE: Changes to web site

Task-orientated suggestion:
- I would like to suggest an FAQ on languages & mobile devices (following an experiment on an albeit old PDA to view Russian, where character encoding seemed to be ignored, so Russian characters were not displayed & (upper!) ASCII characters were).
- I wanted to double-check this hadn't already been done. So, I used the drop-down menu on left of GEO home. No option to go to whole list.
--------------
So
- could there be an overview of what topics are available? (As a 'knowing' user I could have choosen any & scrolled through, but I don't think that's a good solution for everybody.)
- do people think an FAQ on languages & mobile devices would be useful?

I like the expanding menus very much - useful in terms of information overview/inverted pyramid.

 - Though I would like to not have to nav back to the page with the expanding menus to view different bits of info.
 - I don't like jumping to info halfway down a page with no nav.
 - Is there any way the '+' and '-' icons can be clickable too? Although I know this can be a problem with icons specified in CSS.

 Chaps,

I implemented a 'site anchor' list on the left of the home page, and changed the links at the top of the second level pages to refer to these. I also implemented (finally) some links from each heading back to the in-page navigation.

This has all been done within the current styling, and is only an intermediate improvement, but one that I wanted to do asap - especially before the end of the month since at that time I have to give W3C Team folks an overview of the site.
