Summary: I wanted to be able to grab the information that
Output is using, do some logic to it in my javascript,
and send it back. However, apparently the element only
returns an empty string when called, so I can't
                    utilize it that way.

Comment:
I wanted to be able to grab the information that Output is using, do some
logic to it in my javascript, and send it back.

However, apparently the element only returns an empty string when called, so I
can't utilize it that way.
