The WHATWG document also makes references to the newly invented "WebSRT" 
time-stamp format (a format that currently does not appear to have any 
implementation, authoring tools, or support from any commercial video 
producer), and has added a <track> attribute that is still under discussion 
at the W3C.

I think it is important to highlight these differences and be transparent 
about it.
