aloha,

for those of you seeking examples of the use of longdesc in "real life"
documents, look no further than:

http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2

the CSS2 technical recommendation contains 46 longdescription files,
which are most easily perused, if your UA doesn't support longdesc,
by downloading the zipped version of the CSS2 TR:

http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/css2.zip

when you unzip the file, you will find the long descriptions in the:

/IMAGES/LONGDESC

sub-folder...

gregory.
