I know. I haven't really looked into EARL myself yet., but CTIC, one of the
partners of The Web Repair Initiative, is heavily involved in EARL.

So yes, it did occur to me that such a dedicated language would be ideal. I
just thought it might be possible to (also) have something simpler that would
still be useful.
