http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=13687 Summary: Add "exposes a bitmap" concept to image/video/canvas for CSS Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: other Hixie drafts (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: jackalmage@gmail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org See discussion starting at <http://krijnhoetmer.nl/irc-logs/whatwg/20110805#l-1054>. For the element() function defined at <http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-images/#element-reference>, I'm defining "exposes a bitmap" as a hook for host languages to allow elements to be referenced even when they're not actively being rendered. HTML should define that <img>, <video>, and <canvas> "expose a bitmap" in the obvious way. (Link to the concept definition will follow.) -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
