http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=13620 Summary: Clarify label vs caption Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/2011/WD-html5-20110525/forms.html #the-label-element OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: cooper@w3.org QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: joshue.oconnor@cfit.ie, mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org [Filed on behalf of Joshue O Connor, so please approach him for further details / suggestions] The label is said to represent a 'caption' in a user interface. There is however there is no explanation of what “caption” means in this context. Is it the same as a 'caption' for a data table, or is it similar to the figcaption etc? I suggest linking to the section of the spec that describes what a caption is, and what it is for as well as its content model etc. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
