I tested, and marking an issue POSTPONED makes it distinct from CLOSED issues
but it still does not show up in lists of open/unresolved issues such as the
product list.

I propose that issues which time out should be marked POSTPONED instead of
CLOSED in the issue tracker. I will edit the v2 policy draft per this concept.
Larry, I hope that is sufficiently close to TIMEDOUT. I am told that it is
difficult to get new states added to the issue tracker.
